Bringing People To Christ

Mission Possible

Missions is an integral part of Perry Road Baptist Church.

Why missions? The Lord commanded us to do so in the Great Commission:

19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.Matt 28:19-20

One of the ways Perry Road Baptist Church fulfills the great commission is by supporting missionaries around the world through the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program.

Since 1925, Southern Baptist's have been partnering together to touch the world through Cooperative Program (CP) Missions. CP Missions unites all Southern Baptists together into a missions team fulfilling the Great Commission.

The mission and evangelistic efforts of the Baptist Convention of New York (BCNY) are supported by CP Missions.

CP Missions undergirds the work of almost 5,000 international missionaries in 153 countries through the International Missions Board (IMB).

Through CP Missions support, the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and it's partners supported 5,081 missions personnel who assisted in the starting of 1,681 new congregations in 2000.

In 2000, 865,958 people were baptized worldwide because of the support through CP Missions.

The Cooperative Program also helps fund the six Southern Baptist Seminaries, the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, the Annuity Board, Southern Baptist Foundation, and the Baptist World Alliance.

The Cooperative Program is the most expansive, efficient, and effective means of missions support!

CP Missions, simply defined, is caring people partnering together to touch the world. "Two are better than one because they have good reward for their labor" (Eccl. 4:9).

Perry Road Baptist Missions Giving

Perry Road Baptist Church supports the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention, Hudson Baptist Association, Church Planting, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and Church Mission trips to Guatemala.

Perry Road Baptist firmly believes that healthy churches reproduce. Toward that end, Perry Road Baptist sets aside 10% of all local receipts for the next church plant.  We are currently seeking the Lord's guidance in the timing of supporting/starting a new church work in our area.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isa 6:8
